Model 9-7S

Ion Chamber Stretch Scope

Part Number: 48-4449-1

Features

  • Display Range: 0.001 R/hr to 19.99 kR/hr
  • 1.1 to 3.8 m (3.7 to 12.6 ft.) Telescoping Stainless Steel Pole
  • Accommodates Ludlum Model 9-7 and Eberline RO-7 Ion Chamber Detectors
  • Digital Readout
  • Backlit Display
  • Click-To-Frequency-Driven Audio
  • Detectors Have Removable Beta Shields

The Ludlum Model 9-7S is a telescoping pole integrated with a digital readout and control unit that can be attached to any compatible ion chamber (sold separately) to provide remote monitoring in high-range beta and gamma fields. The gamma measurement range is 0.001 R/hr to 19.99 kR/hr, covered by four separate ion chamber detectors (see Detectors tab). These ion chambers are connected directly to the instrument at the tip of the pole. The Model 9-7S automatically recognizes which detector is connected so no recalibration or adjustment is required when switching detectors.

The backlit LCD displays three easily-readable digits with a floating decimal point to indicate the measurement along the R/hr scale. When connected to the highest range detector, a separate kR/hr indicator is prominently illuminated to warn the operator of the higher scale in use. Controls include a rotary switch for selecting instrument on/off and battery status, an LCD backlight switch (lamp on/off), an audio on/off switch, and a zero adjust knob.

Note: The Model 9-7S is not RoHS compliant.
